The bipedal machine known as T-1000 is relentless. His target: Arthur Curry, a.k.a. Aquaman. The meta-human had retreated into the ocean, his haven, where he thought he could offer up the best fight. Undeterred, the machine wades into the sea, mercilessly stalking; but as he submerged the sea life swarmed around him, filling his field of vision. Crustaceans, mammals, and fish alike were cut down by the robot in a vain attempt to protect their brother, their father, their leader. The T-1000 pressed ever forward, deeper into the crushing black.
Aquaman regrouped back at Atlantis, forming an underwater army; with Trident in hand, they struck out against the android. Wave after wave of animal and water crashed into the robot on the ocean floor; coming down with an arcing smash, Aquaman drove his weapon deep into the robot’s body. The T-1000 contorted its body around the object but it was enough, Aquaman fired the Trident opening a fissure in the crust below the robot, his dense, metallic form plummeting towards the molten mantle below.
Without pause or hesitation the robot lashed out, driving a dagger-like appendage through the Atlantean’s leg. Pulling itself out of the crevice, the robot struck again, slicing through his armour and removing Aquaman’s mystic hand. The final blow cut the hero from clavicle to sternum, filling the sea with blood, silencing the noise of the sea. The anger of the ocean subsided as its hero fell.
