Iron Man spins uncontrollably, yet is stationary. Predator stares without comprehension. Thing let’s Captain America fall to the earth. Batman revisits the night’s events. His motorcycle polluting the starry night with noise as desperation forced sweat to seep down his face. The salty liquid burned his eyes and clouded his vision, but Robin continued to push the limits of his ride. There was nothing he could do, and he knew it and then he saw a brilliant light in the distance. A star of such splendor that he drove towards it with a fanatical religious devotion. (more…)
Phoenix vs Doctor Octopus
Saturday, March 14th, 2009Doc Ock armed with a device capable of controlling the Phoenix’s powers speedily crawled through the dense foliage his mechanical arms ensuring that his feet need never touch the possibly poisonous and fatal rainforest undergrowth. And then he was fighting for his life as an unseen enemy probed his brilliant scientific mind. His apparatus struck out in all directions destroying everything that it touched. In his mind though, he remained helpless to the devestating mental attack. What felt like an eternity in truth was only a few minutes as Doctor Octopus slumped to the ground. His face lay peaceful against the dew covered grass. His mind lost. The Phoenix emerged and picked up the device that had been the Doctor’s only hope. She effortlessly crushed it and flew away as the scary creatures in the dark left their burrows to truly end Octopus’ life.
Luke Skywalker vs Super Shredder
Saturday, March 14th, 2009A tidal wave of noise crashes against the arena walls as fan favourite Luke Skywalker confidantly struts onto the tournament floor. Then a moment later the very sound is replaced with a horror caught in the throats of children everywhere as Super Shredder literally flies out of the very same entrace where Luke had emerged. Luke launches Shredder into the far wall with a devestating force push and Shredder can only fall like a rag doll to the ground. Shredder lay still, deathly still. Luke simply looked down and sighed and began to walk away. The stadium flooded with the chants of his name. (more…)
Magneto vs Robocop
Saturday, March 14th, 2009The rainforest treetops parted by an unseen force as Magneto probed the lush rainforest underneath for some sign of human intellect. He knew it was futile, his combatant merely a machine. This chase merely a formality. The metalic reflection in the distance barely made Magneto’s sense tinge. Soaring at ever increasing speeds Magneto closed the distance in moments and pulled Robocop into the air, sending the inferior machine’s hand cannon sailing away into the undergrowth. With a single thought, Robocop folded into himself crushing every bone in his body until he was no larger than a basketball. So simple. (more…)
Punisher vs Iron Man
Saturday, March 14th, 2009Anthony Stark, better known as Iron Man, knew there was no point in delaying this confrontation. His opponent was Frank Castle. The Punisher, as Castle accurately styled himself, has a vigante of sorts desparately trying to bring balance to a world that had delt him a cruel hand. Castle had strategically placed himself at a race track to give himself an endless amount of riding room to face his opponent. The Punisher peered upward to see Iron Man hover into the race track in superhero like fashion. Levitating effortlessly, Iron Man saluted his opponent with respect and Punisher responded by quickly drawing the guns at his sides releasing a barrage of ammunition fire. The bullets scattered uselessly against Iron Man’s metallic exterior, but they were followed by a missle that escaped from the front of Castle’s enhanced motorcycle. (more…)

Captain America vs. The Thing
Monday, March 2nd, 2009The battle has raged for hours and both combatants are to the point of exhaustion. Captain America’s speed, agility, and shield have kept the Earthen brute at bay so far. The Thing’s rocky dermal layer is chipped and cracked; blood is seeping from between the folds. Cap continually lunges and withdraws, wearing Ben Grimm out; the Thing feebly throws anything he can get his hands on in the Captain’s general direction. (more…)
