Doc Ock armed with a device capable of controlling the Phoenix’s powers speedily crawled through the dense foliage his mechanical arms ensuring that his feet need never touch the possibly poisonous and fatal rainforest undergrowth. And then he was fighting for his life as an unseen enemy probed his brilliant scientific mind. His apparatus struck out in all directions destroying everything that it touched. In his mind though, he remained helpless to the devestating mental attack. What felt like an eternity in truth was only a few minutes as Doctor Octopus slumped to the ground. His face lay peaceful against the dew covered grass. His mind lost. The Phoenix emerged and picked up the device that had been the Doctor’s only hope. She effortlessly crushed it and flew away as the scary creatures in the dark left their burrows to truly end Octopus’ life.
