The battle has raged for hours and both combatants are to the point of exhaustion. Captain America’s speed, agility, and shield have kept the Earthen brute at bay so far. The Thing’s rocky dermal layer is chipped and cracked; blood is seeping from between the folds. Cap continually lunges and withdraws, wearing Ben Grimm out; the Thing feebly throws anything he can get his hands on in the Captain’s general direction. (more…)
